Happy Snake Year!
Welcome to the year of the Serpent!
When we launched LUNMU in the spring of 2023, we didn't even realize that 2024 would be Year of the Dragon, let alone 2025 would be Year of the Serpent. It also so happens that Tada is a Serpent man who turns 48 this year!
Looking forward into this Year of the Serpent, we have many changes planned to LUNMU's activities. Where as the last Year of the Dragon was about dreaming and riding an exhilarating and unpredictable wave, we feel that the Serpentine energy of 2025 is about taking our inspiration and bringing our work it into material reality.
To set our intentions for the new year, we attended our very first New Year's Day Prayer Ritual (初詣・Hatsumode) together at Shimogamo Shrine (下鴨神社).
